Rather belatedly, here's a race report from the Griffith round of the TEKA endurance series...
Elvis, Phoenix’s Endurance chassis continues to compete with some of the best chassis’ in the world and a several of the best teams in Australian Endurance Racing. Team Dynamite ventured to Griffith for Round 4 of the AKA Endurance Series, having previously led the series with the speed of the new Phoenix chassis. After a shocker at Newcastle with mechanical dramas they relinquished their lead to the 07 Champions, but hopefully for a short time only! The weekend started well with the Phoenix leading practice by nearly ½ sec, many teams concerned about how they could make up the time.

Qualifying was held early Satuday evening under lights and combined the best lap of two drivers. Team Dynamite experienced a couple of minor issues in the process, managing 5th place, on the 3rd row of the grid. After a great jump Dynamite circulated in the top three throughout the five hours of the race. After a stack of consistent lap times, some extremely close racing and one lengthy safety car period, Dynamite achieved a podium, 3rd place. Normally this would be cause for celebration, though not this time as the Championship leaders were just 70 second ahead to take the win - after 5 hours of racing! Bring on the next round…the hunt for that Championship lead continues at Eastern Creek! Thanks to Tony Castley for the great photos!
